Description

Parenting any youth, but particularly youth who have experienced trauma, leads us to accept that children have notably restricted emotional expression. In this training, participants will gain knowledge, strategies, and skills to help children improve their emotional well-being and learn how to give youth permission to feel and cope with their emotions.

Rachel Donnelly, LMSW

Rachel Donnelly joined the Cornerstones of Care Training team in 2019. Rachel is a licensed, master level social worker with 7 years of experience working with youth in foster care and their families. Her passion to help and educate within the community brings her trainings to life for employees, foster parents, and community members, including classes on combatting human trafficking, maintaining family connections, and trauma-informed practices. Rachel is a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician, TIPS-MAPP Instructor, and a HEAL Human Trafficking Institute provider. Rachel enjoys traveling, crime documentaries and podcasts, and finds self-care by experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes. Rachel loves to show off photos of her two cats and her 5 nieces.
